Making the Leap: 1 hour private lessons to Coaching Programs

Jim Estes came to golf instruction after playing for a living on the PGA and Web.com tours. He built a successful private instruction business going from 1 hour to 1 hour lesson, however found himself burnt out trying to find a work life balance.

Jim has fully made the transition from 1 hour lessons to coaching programs. We talk about how he made that difficult transition and what he says now when a student comes up and asks for a lesson (he shares the specific program and offer).

I thought I had to work 12 hours, 12 lessons a day and that was how I was going to make money.

After flipping the model and going all in with coaching programs he can now truly help his students play the game and tap into his experience as a tour pro. Jim’s all about getting students on the course and helping them play the game.

It’s about being a transformational coach not a transactional coach.
