Dr Gary Wiren is honored in six golf halls of fame in the United States including the PGA Hall of Fame and the World Golf Teachers’ Hall of Fame. (one of only three professionals in the world in both Halls of Fame.)
Although he still teaches he spends the most of his time helping other instructors… be better teachers. He definitely can speak to this as we here his story of teaching in over 32 countries and starting / growing hundreds of golf schools all over the world.
We start off hearing about Gary’s origin story. Growing up “at the bottom of the barrel” as he says. He can’t think of any more fun, 13 years or so playing for 10 cents a skin at the local course.
In this episode we hear about his start – Teaching 14,000 people over the course of 4 years to really get some experience and ideas under his belt. It’s something that has some really relevant takeaways even in today’s marketplace
