I hit record as Tom and I start chatting about how he got started and why people came to Tom even when he was just getting started.
Tom has always tried to give people something they can’t find anywhere else. (that’s why he uses Trackman, 4 camera video, force plates, etc)
He had the dream to play golf for a living but realized that he was better at helping teammates hit the ball better than shooting 65 himself. We chat through how he landed his first teaching gig and what happened when he took a big risk and spent $25k on technology.
We chat about why people kept coming back to him even though he might not have been a “great” teacher when first getting started.
Tom is currently the Director of Instruction at the Big Horn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California and in the summertime at the Promontory Golf Club in Park City, Utah.
