A lead magnet is something that prospects want and you give to them.
In this specific instance we’re looking at your website.
But it’s not the end goal. It’s the top of the sales funnel and the goal is to convert them into lessons.
So we’re looking to get contact info from visitors to your website. So we can grow your database outside of students.
Let’s come up with the simplest and least resistance way to go about this.
One way is through giveaways. A new driver for instance. This can be great but are you really delivering all that much value to your customers?
Secondly a piece of content that people are interested in. You can create a 3 week video series on the 3 biggest mistakes holding you back from breaking 90. (if that’s what your target audience is interested in) To much work you might think? Not really. All you need to do is record 3 short videos. Not that bad. If you have a very precise target audience creating an offer should be a simple process.
But a lead magnet can be more than just something free.
It can also be a clinic or a fee initial 15 minute assessment.
Something that is not as big of a commitment as a private lesson or package of lessons

So how do I benefit from this?
If I just built a database and sent out occasional emails with services I offer. That would be a fail.
I need to take this “warm lead” and nurture them through a sales process.
It starts by building a relationship.
Continuing to offer them advice and tips that normally would cost money to receive.
You want to honestly have good intentions at heart when writing an email autorespondor sequence (can be anywhere from 3 to 30 emails, the more the better) . People can spot when someone is being fake, even if it’s in email.
Secondly you’re going to want to have offers. Have special discounts and opportunities for them.
Make them feel special. Like they’re part of a club.
So do you need a lead magnet. YES
Why? because “schedule a lesson” isn’t always enough.
